The singer and music teacher, Nicole Saint-Victor, died this Saturday, January 21, 2023.

Born on January 2, 1937, the sister of Jean-Michel St-Victor aka Zouzoul (Skah Shah) started singing on stage at around 14 years old. She evolved at the Paris Conservatory and at the Sainte-Cécile Academy in Rome.

Returning to Haiti in 1977 after about 13 years in Europe, Nicole Saint-Victor presented for about 22 years programs on the National Radio and taught for eight years at the Lycée Alexandre Dumas (Lycée Français), at ENARTS, at the Quisqueya University and IERAH.

Nicole Saint-Victor, the national soprano, has left an indelible imprint on the lives of many music lovers, in particular thanks to her memorable performances with the Orchester Sainte Trinité, highlighted the Ministry of Culture in a press release.

As a generous and demanding teacher, she transmitted her passion for music and singing to many young Haitians.
