The film Freda by Haitian director Gessica Généus will participate in the Women Shaping
the World festival from March 8 to 13, in London, England.
At the crossroads of arts, culture and feminism, the Women Shaping the World
Festival is organized by the French Institute of the United Kingdom and the British
authorities, around International Women's Day.
From Haiti to Kosovo, the Festival celebrates the multiple ways of being a woman in all
four corners of the world.
He pays tribute to these anonymous heroines and their daily struggles, their resilience,
their courage and their dignity, with films such as H24 – 24 hours in the life of a woman
(March 8), Freda (March 12) and Hive (March 13).
The artists featured in the program are committed to the idea that society should aspire
to gender and gender equality, the Festival management said.
