Four years after the release of "No dead end", the musical formation Zenglen is about to offer
us a new album. In this sense, a music video song from the band to Jean Brutus Derissaint
was released on the evening of Tuesday, January 18. It is "Nou tout bèl",
a text that preaches tolerance, self-acceptance in relation to different physical appearances.
Nowadays, it is common to have the body modified, especially certain parts such as the
buttocks and the breasts, by a surgical intervention. "Redo the body", we say commonly.
A decision subject to criticism from both sides. In "Nou tout bèl", the Zenglen group
maintains that it is ok if it helps the person to feel good about themselves. A choice
that must be tolerated.
“Mwen te gen yon zanmi lekòl / Koulè kafe / Yon bèl kreyòl / lòt jou mwen rankontre l /
Li chanje tout sa ki sou kò l / Se konsa li santi li byen / Li santi li fyè / Se chwa pa li /
Mwen ba li menm respè a...”, sings Emmy Nixon Louis dit Emmynix.
However, if certain small touches are used to make a beauty, the fact of remaining natural
must be respected as well. “Nou tout bèl” goes in the direction of balance. “Gen sa k chwazi
ret natirèl / Tout sa k nan kò yo, yo fèt avè l / Gen sa tou, ke l se gason, ke l se fi /
Yo ka chanje bagay nan kò yo yo jije twòp ou twò piti... “, continues the singer.
