For its inaugural edition in October, the PromiseLand Festival has announced in its line-up
the global megastar of Haitian origin and emblematic ex-vocalist of the Fugees Wyclef Jean,
Burna Boy (headliner), Ye (Kanye West) and the mythical group UB40, among others.
Taking place in Gold Coast from October 1-2, PromiseLand will take over Doug JHennings Park
and promises to be the first major music festival in Australia to mix reggae, afrobeats and
R&B.
This brand new multi-genre live music experience aims to showcase the culturally diverse
sounds of the African continent and the vast triangle of Polynesia.
Along with this collection of superstars from across the globe, more than 40 artists and
bands, including some of the biggest names in Australian and New Zealand music, will join
the stage. We can mention Sons Of Zion, William Singe, Youngn Lipz, Sammy J, Common Kings,
HP Boyz, Ladi6, Muroki, Paua and Scribe. .
"Promiseland brings together different but beautifully interconnected cultures from around
the world for a memorable musical experience," said festival director Emal Naim.
